Hello blog-verse. Nice to see you again so soon.
I recently wrapped up the second overall episode of the podcast and the first official rambling edition. Please enjoy the tunes and check out the links I post here. The scene needs support and I hope that all of you will like and buy at least one of these records at my urging because I believe they're all worth it or they wouldn't be here.
WARNING: This is my first time recording an actual podcast. So the volume may need a little adjusting between the songs and my stupid voice. Listen accordingly! :)

Live! At The Old Cat's Bar
So, I've decided that rather than just uploading music for free to you guys, I'm going to do a weekly/monthly/whatever PODCAST! That's right. I've become one of those guys.
This weeks is strictly music. None of my ramblings. However, that's because I'm in the process of buying a microphone. I tried to mix it up a bit this time around and to throw in some classic tunes.
Each song has a 10 second gap between the end and the start of the next one. Hopefully next week, I will have the microphone purchased and I can have my partner in crime here to chat with me over music and all the other various interest we share.
This week I have included tracks the Self Favors posting.
Live! At The Old Cat's Bar (February 18, 2011) Run time: 31:18
01. Lenin/McCarthy - Body Bag (1:50)
02. Justin Townes Earle - One More Night In Brooklyn (3:04)
03. Nothington - If You Say So (3:19)
04. Minor Threat - Seeing Red (1:02)
05. Wolves And The Radio - St. Maria (3:44)
06. Lightning Dust - Waiting On The Sun To Rise (4:03)
07. Funeral Party - Just Because (3:54)
08. Black Flag - Six Pack (2:20)
09. Bob Tilton - Butterfly (2:34)
10. Motion City Soundtrack - It Had To Be You (3:48)
Enjoy! Please?

Self Favors (February 18th, 2011)
Well, hello blog-verse. It has been awhile, hasn't it? You look good! Have you lost weight? How are the kids?
Anyways, I have returned. And I'm going to return with a bada-bing, bada-boom of my old "Self Favors" in which I suggest you do something nice for yourself and check out the following musical goodness. Your ears will thank you!
Self Favors AOTW (Album Of The Week): Funeral Party "The Golden Age Of Nowhere"
It's sometimes "punk", sometimes dance and probably more critically appealing than most stuff I'd suggest. But it's good all the time. Funeral Party is an indie band that the staunch scenesters will love but never admit to liking.
Self Favors SOTW (Song Of The Week): Wolves And The Radio "St. Maria"
This song is just filled with so many of things things I love. Gruff vocals, good lyrics, catchy guitar riffs.
Self Favors BOTW (Band Of The Week): Motion City Soundtrack
I went back and listened to "Even If It Kills Me" this week and I'll be damned if that isn't an underrated records. Nobody does power pop like Motion City Soundtrack, except maybe Jimmy Eat World. But Jim Adkins would never sing lyrics like "Let's fight crime with mangos and limes" which puts MCS in their own category.
Well, that's it for now. I'll return sometime this upcoming week an all new article. I know music blogs are a dime a dozen and my little old words don't hold much weight. I'm just a mouth from the suburbs who loves what I'm talking about. Maybe you will too!
BRAND NEW FEATURE! LINKS!
Wolves And The Radio - You can stream their full length at Punk News!
Funeral Party - Forget how uncool it may sound on the surface and dance. We won't think any less of you.
Motion City Soundtrack - They have an acoustic version of "Fell In Love Without You" that is heart wrenching.
